It doesn’t look like the latest update is causing the iPhone to brick, but there are random reports, according to arstechnica.

Speaking of bricking, we should probably give you our initial word on the topic. Unfortunately, our official word for now is that we have no official word. We’re hearing mixed reports from the wild that unlocked iPhones might be getting bricked, but nothing that we feel confident in repeating just yet. The moral for now? If you unlocked your iPhone, don’t upgrade your firmware yet. If you simply must download it, iTunes will give you the option to download but not install, so keep the line drawn there for the time being.

There’s a question here, of if we liked the stock iPhone before, why not now? First off, the verdict was based on the future value of the iPhone once Apple had fixed a lot of the quirks that resulted our "wait" verdict. Right now, it seems like Apple isn’t going to innovate that much, since much of our list of what needed to be patched is still unfulfilled. And even worse, they’re not allowing others to help.

Nokia has announced some slick new phones, the N81, and the N82 (pretty boring names…). I really like the look. I’m usually not a fan of Nokia too.

The slider-style N81 looks it’ll be the successor to their N91 musicphone (except less, uh, busted-looking) and sport a full 8GB of memory, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, quad-band EDGE and 2100MHz HSDPA, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The N82 has a more traditional candybar form-factor and’ll have a five megapixel camera with Xenon flash and auto-focus Carl Zeiss lens, quad-band GSM (doesn’t say whether it’ll be GRPS or EDGE, but we’re guessing EDGE), 2100MHz HSDPA, a 2.4-inch QVGA display, Bluetooth 2.0, WiFi, integrated GPS, FM tuner, and a microSD memory card slot.

The N81 sounds good, with the 8GB of memory, Bluetooth 2.0, and WiFi (!). The N82 looks like it’s getting everything but the kitchen sink. Wonder how the battery life is on it…

Now if we could only have a phone that has good battery life, sounds good, and does basic phone functions well.

EA is going to be offering a new mic for the Wii being bundled with the game ‘Boogie’.

According to this story at joystiq.com:

“The Wii version comes bundled with a microphone, it’s a USB microphone and it’s probably going to be the first mic for the Wii,” he said in a video interview with IGN. Does this mean we will have to sit in a close proximity of the Wii or will there simply be a wireless dongle that attaches to the back? We’re betting on the latter, as being connected to a console while jumping around like a buffoon is a surefire way to destroy your system.

That sounds pretty cool to me!
