Teclast M66 PMP gets high-def, but no touchscreen

Teclast has released a few more details, and another screenshot of it’s upcoming portable media player. The Teclast M66 will include high-def resolution capable of 720p using the RK2806 chipset by Rockchips. The M66 has recently been given a makeover by Teclast, and looks a bit better now with a row of touch-sensitive [...]

Samsung YP-U3

Samsung has a very neat offering to compete with the iPod shuffle called the YP-U3. I’ll admit, the name is not quite as catchy (seems like the marketing department could use some help).

Capacity: 1, 2, and 4GB
1″ OLED display
Audio: MP3, WMA, and Ogg
RDS Tuner
15 hours of battery life
Dimensions: 25.4 x 80 x 11mm

I’m realling [...]

Aigo A215 MP3 player

The Aigo A215 MP3 player offers 2GB’s of storage capacity and an amazing 50 hour battery life. It does look like your standard stick memory stick style MP3 player.
It supports WMA9 and WMA10 for your DRM loaded music files.
It doesn’t appear to have a North American release date, but the UK can find them [...]

Create your own “World’s Simplest Radio”

This is pretty neat. It is a radio that doesn’t even need a true crystal. It is such an old design, and does work.

The trouble with such a simple receiver (no variable capacitor) is that there is little selectivity and the listener is bombarded by 2 or more stations at once – a [...]

Sony Mylo, another Blah product from Sony?

Gizmodo seems to think that the Sony Mylo is the greatest thing sinced sliced bread. I say, “Hold on, wait up, I bet it’s all proprietary crap”.
It actually isn’t too bad. It will work with Google Talk, and Yahoo messenger, and they say it works with iTunes. It does use my favorite [...]

Logitech shows the Wireless DJ Music System

I like the looks of the Logitech Wireless DJ Music System. It is very sleek looking. How it works is a much better question. I usually question the ease of use of a product from a computer accessory maker.

The Wireless DJ Music System connects the PC to a home-entertainment center or speaker [...]

BBC working on a digital radio for MP3 players

Although I haven’t heard anything good about digital radio (it seems to be somewhat of a scam), the BBC is working on an attachement for MP3 players that would play digital radio stations.
There is no expected release date at this time.

Speaking about the plan for the gadget, the BBC spokesman said the broadcaster was carrying [...]

Toshiba Tosses Us Yet Another DAP

Toshiba just announced a new line of gigabeat flash based DAPs today in two storage capacities and “cosmetic designs.” The new audio players feature 1.1″ OLED color screens, 14 hours of battery life, a built-in FM tuner, and voice recorder. The supported file formats are WMA, MP3, WAV, and JPEG images.
“gigabeat Flash players [...]

Incase Music Belt for iPod review

iLounge has reviewed the Incase Music Belt for your iPod. They seemed to like it, but it looks suspiciously like a fanny pack to me!
It does look somewhat nice though, for a fanny pack. It uses a nylon belt, and can be adjusted for even the biggest of folks.
You can pick [...]

Luckystar A228 Digital Audio Player

Well, here is another strange one from China. It is the Luckystar A228. It sells at a discount since it only comes with 2 corners. It kind of looks like cookie monster got confused, and bit off the two corners.
It includes an OLED screen, and plays MP3/WMA files.
Pretty boring looking.
Thanks dapreview.
